Once upon a time there was a hairy princess named beulah. Her father, king Ted promised her when she came of age, she could have her pick of all the young men in the land. As the day approached the king sent his minions out into the kingdom to make the announcement that all eligible young men would have the opportunity to be a prince by marrying his daughter. They were to report to the the castle on the hairy princesses 18th birthday to compete for her hand.
Now, underneath all of that hair was a beautiful girl, you just couldn't tell because her beard was in the way.
On the appointed day, the princess put on her most beautiful gown, shaved, and brushed her tooth. She was prepared to meet her true love.
She was full of happiness and expectation. She proudly walked through the doors of her father's castle to find, to her utter disappointment, only two men had arrived. She was heartbroken. One man, who was uncommonly handsome, gasped and took a step back. The kings guards held their spears to his back. The king bade him approach the throne. He said to the uncommonly handsome man, "why did you back away young man?". The young man said, "I'm sorry your highness, it's just that I am new to the kingdom and did not realize that your daughter was not a beautiful lady. Please forgive me." You see, this young man was a poor orphan who had drifted from a nearby kingdom, looking for a free ride. He thought he would marry the princess and live a pampered lifestyle and never have to work again. Though handsome, he was very poor, and had nothing but the clothes on his back. He planned to marry the princess and live a life of leisure. However, when he saw her, he knew that he could not go through his life, no matter how pampered he would be, sleeping in the same bed as this wooly mammoth. The princess was crushed. Having lived a cherished and sheltered life in her father's castle she had no idea that she was not beautiful, and was confused and hurt by the young mans reaction. The king, upon seeing his beloved daughters tears, sentenced the uncommonly handsome man to death by torture. The guards carried him away. The 2nd young man stepped forward and took the hairy princesses fuzzy hand in his own and said "beautiful young lady, will you please do me the honor of becoming my betrothed?". This 2nd man was not as handsome, but was very well dressed, not to mention quite courtly and well mannered. The hairy princess said that she would.
10 years later: The man that married the princess turned out to be a very rich young man indeed, the son of a dentist. he also owned an electrolysis machine. He removed all of the extra hair from the poor girl's body and revealed that she was truly a lovely creature.
The End.
