Banning smoking in public areas

No doubt, smoking should be banned in public areas.

Anyone should be able to walk into their favorite restaurant or bar and not have to inhale smoke the whole time. Smoking is a habit, not a necessity.

It isn't fair to people who don't smoke to have to be inhaling smoke for 90% of they day when they are out and about shopping and going out to eat.

Where I live, there is a smoking ban in all public places, and it is really nice. You don't have to worry about inhaling smoke. I can go anywhere, a bowling alley, and restaurant even a bar and not have to worry about smoke flowing all over me.

Plus, second hand smoke is worse that actually smoking! If the smoker is using a filtered cigarette, the smoke that goes into their body is cleaner than the smoke a person getting it second hand would get, which poses a major health concern for everyone around. It's not fair to non-smokers to have worse effects from smoking than the smokers.

The only problem with placing a smoking ban into effect is enforcing the law. As long as the law is enforced everyone can benefit from a smoke free environment.
