The youth is more than ready for tomorrow's challenges. Adults today have become more conservationists in their views towards young people. This is because they could not make the big changes that they expected to do between the 60's and 80's and have become; like the generation before them, closed of to any new ideals. But the youth; just like previous generations before them, are well equipped, they just need to come together and form their own paths.
The media bombards the adult public with facts that we are lazy, alcoholics who consume drugs and vandalize. Yet this is not true. I myself am a full Honors student, who with others in my class (29 to be exact) competes against each other to be the best in Second Year. Also you consumed drugs, when you were in the Psychedelic and Hippy groups, between the 60's and 80's. True you didn't destroy property, but no one took you seriously because you were so peaceful. I am not justifying violence, quite the contrary. What I am saying is that more aggressive protest methods are needed if we are to convince you.
As for the Challenges of Tomorrow, they are really problems which YOU created and WE; the youth have to find a solution to. The truth is that you grew up'; in other words gave up your dreams and became what you are today as did your world, a materialistic and chaotic world. The 90's were living proof of that. We followed your footsteps and you blamed us for it. But the reality is that we hardly have any one to show us how to live a better, more spiritual life.
Now it's our time to rise and solve these problems. You should sit back and stop criticizing our every move. You should praise as we tackle our challenges, but never give any cheap flattery. Because you never know, Tomorrow we may make true the Dreams of Yesterday.
