As a youth, I have first hand experience of whether we are ready for the challenges of tomorrow and I believe that we are as ready as the youths of the past were, who are now the masters of today.
People talk of lazy, party-goers with no experience of real-life, but is this opinion so different to what others thought twenty, thirty, forty years ago of their own children? Weren't the people now, who govern our countries, the people who grew up through the madness of the sixties and the seventies? Perhaps they were worked harder than some of us, but I think that that is a generalisation. I know people who work very hard to get good grades and to progress further education. And for every twenty uncaring youths who are not bothered about the environment, politics or the news there are still many who are. There are those who campaign and protest and argue for the causes they believe which are right, such as protesting against the Irag War or boycotting Nestle.
And most of the challenges we will face are caused by you! The adults of the present! Global warming, look at that enormous problem, we will have to deal with when it is are time will rise. It is a sad, but a truthful thought that I dont think that we will rise perfectly well to the challenges of tomorrow BUT i do think we will rise just as well as the adults of today have. We will solve some problems and counter other enemies but we will also make mistakes and cause errors, but that is life.
