Time spent planning a vacation is invaluable if you want to ensure that your holiday is a success. Before you even book a holiday, find out what all the members of your party are looking for in a holiday. Try to ensure that the holiday you choose will cater for at least some of things that each person wants to do.
Having chosen you holiday, don't forget about any vaccinations that may be required for the country you are traveling to. If you do need vaccinations make sure that you allow enough time to get these done well beforehand. Also ensure that any medication you may need is ordered well before you go.

Aim to get any foreign currency or travelers cheques at least a week beforehand. Don't forget to log a copy of the cheque numbers and keep the numbers somewhere separate from the originals. Also make sure that you have the helpline numbers for any lost or stolen bank cards written down and kept separate from your wallet.
