I moved around when I was a child but, I consider my last pit stop of eight years to be the closest to "Hometown" as you get. Zephyrhills, Florida is known for it's bottled water company and yes it is a real place. There are many groups of people in this town here are a few to laugh about: The Wannabes, The Druggies, The Old People, and The Real People.
The Wannabes are a funny group but, they get very annoying very fast. Wannabes are people who think they can get ahead by keeping their high school ways and just pretending to be what they want to be. You ask a question of a group of people and the Wannabe answers and keeps going. They gossip to no end and they always want to be first and they must be right! Let's say a Wannabe wants to be a lawyer and he only has two years of school under his belt, he will say he is a lawyer, he will dress like a lawyer, and yet he is not a lawyer. He will get hurt if you say that he is not a lawyer or ask someone else for law advice...like a real lawyer. Wannabes take credit where someone else has done the work. If you see a Wannabe, run far, far away!
The Druggies are Wannabes that gave up. Their glass egos smashed and now they are getting smashed. Druggies are relaxed but, they are messed up. Druggies are a sad sight and should be helped into rehab.
The Old People come from up north every winter and clog up our everyday lives. The traffic goes from 40 MPH to 10 MPH. The grocery store is filled with old people just hanging out talking to their next door neighbor and stopping me from getting some food for my house. I like Old People don't get me wrong but, if you live up north for half the year can you please stay there the other half, too?
The Real People are the ones trying to get out of town as fast as they can. I was a lucky one who flew the coop and landed in the city. Real People don't seem to hangout with other Real People as I would like. Maybe, it is because we are out doing our own thing. We have fun, yet keep reality in mind.
That the people in my old hometown. Hope you found some people that made you laugh.
