differently than what is touted on television. We see ourselves as helpmates to children or the elderly. We try to help children realize their dreams and strive to keep the elderly comfortable. That is why, in America, you see such organizations as "Big Brothers and Big Sisters," a dedicated organization who pair children with mentors. Or, SCORE, Service Core of Retired Executives, who mentor would-be small business-owners, with regard to meeting overhead costs, marketing their products or services, and who confer with fledgling businesses concerning their tax situation or the legal implications of their endeavors.
And speaking of endeavors, many wish that the Internet were not so crowded with junk, so that information concerning positive programs could be heard, discovered and acted on. MANY Americans, just like me.
And, many Americans, just like me, have never owned their own home. But they have owned their own conscience! We wish that we were not so misunderstood. It is responding to that inner voice that encourages you to reach out to others, to encourage them and, to preserve dignity in each and every human, American or not.
