Why do we live? Why do we exist is and what is our purpose? This has to be the ultimate question with an answer that is only one's theory or speculation. Those who have a strong religious upbringing may believe that they have that answer but if that is so then how can one question have so many answers?

Hinduism -The purpose of life is to realize that we are part of God and by doing so we can leave this plane of existence and rejoin with God.

Judaism - They believe they are God's chosen people and that the Messiah will arrive in the future.

Christians believe in heaven and that those who sincerely repent their sins before God will be saved and join Him in heaven. With so many differences of opinions and beliefs which one is the true answer?

I was raised in the Christian Science Religion until I was a teenager. My Mother stopped going to a church but still worshiped in her home as Christian. We still believed in Jesus, prayer and that you must be saved to go to Heaven. As I grew older I had doubts about my religious beliefs and at times I have even felt guilty. I was taught that God was pure love and that we are all of his children. That is the one teaching that I still believe with all of my heart is true. As far as confessing my sins, asking to be saved or I will go to hell, and that the bible is the word of God; I have my doubts.

Why do we live? I asked myself this question when my Mother and Sister died and a couple of times when I was deeply sadden or depressed about something in my life. I believe that our lives all begin the same and will ultimately end the same no matter what has happened in between. I believe that this life is God's way of teaching us about love, hate, compassion, sadness and all of the emotions that each and everyone of us experience so that we will be prepared for the next level of existence that he has waiting for us.
