The politics of Internet chatting

good probability that you have forgotten what it was that you had to say. There are those too that feel that voice chat means that you MUST speak on the microphone. They don't even ask, they demand that you say something. Of course, once again, if you do not comply with their stringent rules, you will end up in that Cyber-penitentiary to lick your virtual wounds. Voice also brings up the idiot fact. Often I can be heard saying, " I long for the day before voice chat. At least back then we only had to put up with LITERATE jerks."

You run into these closed-minded types everyday in the real world. Generally we just look at them and dismiss them, letting them go on their merry way. You see in the "REAL WORLD" they have no authentic power, but in chat they do gain that morsel of the supremacy that they seek in that minuscule metropolis were they exist.

So what's the answer to this quandary? Alas, it is a sad state of affairs. Yet if you look hard enough, you can find places on chat servers where such vermin can't get a foot in the door. Rooms where disagreement is not only tolerated but welcome. You can always try to weed though the countless citizens that make use of this growing online community trying to find the few like-minded folks to spend you time with. Then again you can always open such a room on your own and try running it the way that you see fit. Unless of course you find that you are one of the types in which I have described above, if that's the case you will fit right in. Or maybe, mind you this one is radical, you could try just staying away from your computer and going outside to enjoy the beautiful day that is passing all those others by.
