In today's world, dieting has increasingly become a way of life for many people. The question is why doesn't dieting work then for a lot of people?
Let's look at several reasons that may be the cause.
First of all, in today's hectic lifestyle, remembering what you should eat, when to eat and how much can get confusing. There may be several occasions at work such as parties, send offs, and meetings, that involve getting together and sharing food with co-workers, which can make dieting impossible at the time.
Another factor to better understand why dieting doesn't work, can lie in the fact that people don't want to be restricted of certain foods to eat. There is such a wide variety of restaurants, fast food places, and numerous grocery stores, offering new and tempting foods that a person doesn't want to be excluded from them.
Dieting may have a negative connotation to some people also today, since it can imply that you are overweight and need to lose weight.
A person's financial situation may play a part in why dieting doesn't work. also. For example, if you choose a certain diet plan that requires you eat their meal plans that you need to purchase, that can get expensive and you just can't afford their food so you revert back to buying what you're used to.
Another factor in diets failing can be due to the fact you just get stressed out from staying on a strict regimen until you lose the amount of weight you desire.
One of the best ways to reduce calories without going on a diet is just to limit portion size, exercise, and eat sensibly, and you can enjoy all the foods you like.
