Possibly the two best players in the NBA, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, but it is no contest who I would want on my team; LeBron James.
Kobe Bryant right now is a better player than LeBron, but I would not want Kobe anywhere near my team.
First off, just judging by James' performances now, in a few years he will be much better than Kobe. When Kobe first came into the league out of high school, he was good, but nowhere near as good as LeBron is, and LeBron is only going to improve as he learns more about the NBA game.
Second, Kobe is more of a distraction than anything else. Basically, Kobe controls the team, not the coach, or General Manager, but Kobe. Since Kobe is the superstar of the team, what he says goes. Think about it, when Kobe wanted Shaquille O'neal of the Laker's, sure enough, Shaquille O'neal left. When Kobe wanted Phil Jackson out, sure enough, Phil Jackson was gone. Then, when Kobe wanted Phil Jackson back as coach, guess who cam back; Phil Jackson. Kobe was the one who ruined the possibility of a Laker Dynasty with his conflicts with coaches and teammates.
Third, Kobe is what you might call a "ballhog." When Kobe gets the ball, Kobe likes to keep the ball. No matter how talented a guy is, it is always frustrating for teammates when a player doesn't pass the ball. On the other hand, LeBron James loves to pass the ball. LeBron is very impressive with his passing abilities and he likes to see his teammates succeed. As far as teammates go, LeBron would be a mush better teammate than Kobe.
I think if Kobe looked at LeBron, he could learn something from him. If Kobe were more like LeBron, he would, undoubtedly be one of the best players of all time.
