Unleashing creativity by expressing your emotions

Deep in your unconscious lies many emotions and memories just dying to be unleashed. These thoughts and feelings you have are locked away in a part of the mind that is very hard to connect with. Unconscious thinking is constantly going on behind our conscious thoughts and determines much of our behavior. Emotion is a complex experience involving both the brain and the body. An emotion occurs when we are exposed to something that means something to us personally. It sparks the walls of our memory library triggering an emotion.

Unleashing your creativity can help express the emotions that are hidden deep within your mind. By releasing your emotions, those you are aware of and not, can really help you get on touch with your inner self which is built overtime combining nature vs. nurture. Getting in touch with your "self" is a very important thing, it can help you gain control over your emotions, and the choices you make everyday.

There are so many different ways of being creative; painting, drawing, cooking, writing, singing, the list goes on and on.. No matter what your passion is you are most likely being creative. With every brush stroke, cake baked, string strummed, word written, you are expressing your emotions and getting in touch with a different part of your mind.

Just by viewing someone's painting or reading their written words you can tell a lot of about their emotional state at that time, you can almost feel what they feel, and it's most likely sparking your emotions which causes you to make a personal connection with them and their work. Being creative is a very important and powerful thing, it is a different kind of smart, it puts you on a higher level mentally, which everyone is capable of reaching.

If you are worried about being successful with your creativity, being discouraged, thinking you can't paint or write well, you must know that doesn't matter. There are so many definitions and opinions about what "good art" is, but who are they to judge. The only thing that matters is that you had an emotional breakthrough by being creative, and expressing yourself.

Art and being creative is a great form of self exploration, it can help you overcome so many things, and conquer many demons that dwell deep within your unconscious mind. Use your life experiences, negative and positive as inspiration. Don't hold back how you feel, and don't worry about how others perceive your work, be proud that you became more self aware in a way that you could have never reached without unleashing your creativity, and expressing your emotions.
