Your college major should be congruent with your passions in life, as well as your skill set. For example, I am a "right brain" creative thinker and tend to see the big picture first. And while I did fine in math, I never liked it or preferred it. Therefore, it makes no sense for me to pick a degree that requires a lot of math, calculus, etc.
One additional note - After years in both academia and the work force, I have some advice for all. Be sure to understand how business works. Business is what drives most of America and every organization has a balance sheet, statement of operations, and statement of cash flows. Be sure you understand the basics of business and be "street smart" of what really drives America.
