What a dietary supplement is and what it does

A healthy and balanced 'diet' is as essential for every human being as is breathing for staying alive. According to my point of view, normally, a person can stay healthy without any 'dietary supplement' no matter what his age.

Then why do people need or take dietary supplement ? Before answering to this question lets go to the topic of this article the first part of which says 'what a dietary supplement is'. Well! I think 'a dietary supplement is any intake of extra food in the form of natural products like vegetables, fruits, milk, etc. or in the form of multi-vitamin tablets or capsules or effervescent which are supposed to make your diet whole or complete. That's another question whether they really do complete your diet or not. According to my point of view this fact differs from individual to individual.

Now I come to the second part of the title which says 'what it does'. I think I answered this question in my last sentence of my previous paragraph which says that 'this fact differs in all people'. I mean a dietary supplement will have a different effect in a younger person than in the older ; but the basic fact which I remember that I mentioned in one of my previous articles on a similar topic also is that if a person, whether old or young follows a regular routine life with a proper balanced diet and regular exercise then he won't need a dietary supplement unless in the case of any sickness, pregnancy or any other exception of this kind.

Hence, my friends after reading mine and other related articles in MY HELIUM I hope I am able to provide you with at least some valuable information regarding 'What a dietary supplement is and what it does' along with a third question i.e. why do people need 'dietary supplement'?
