The existence of God or whether He is the creator of all things is and will continue to be the subject of debate and strife among the people of the world. As an omnipotent and omniscient being, would creation be beyond His abilities or goals? As an eternal being, would the evolution of a world taking millions of years be a hindrance? Only the mortals considering the concepts of creation and evolution are affected by the passage of time or the understanding of the laws involved in the manipulation of the energies to create worlds with life upon them. The human mind is incapable of grasping the concepts of infinite or eternal. We are instead finite in our understanding of time and space. We are finite in our life span and therefore limited in our ability to learn and apply our knowledge. We are incapable of understanding God or His designs.
As a mortal, the need for the universe is unfathomable. What could possibly be the reason for an expanding space and where is it going? Our own science is proving the existence of millions of other galaxies. What could possibly be reason or need for so many galaxies or the multitudes of stars in each one. Are each sown with life growing and progressing as on this small world or do they serve other necessary purposes which we don't understand. It seems one question will simply lead to another question since we may never know the complete truth.
Finally, I don't believe in the end it will matter from the human point of view. God can as easily be the creator fifteen billion years ago creating the universe by following an evolutionary design taking a few million years to complete. The time expended is immaterial to God. The eternal progression of the plan continuing being the ultimate purpose, I believe.
