It is hard to believe that there is one religion that is superior to all others. Most major religions on the globe today stem from an incredibly long history. Most of these beliefs developed in a certain society and then spread across the world though cross-cultural exchange which took many forms. Mission work, war, and trade all played major roles in spreading religious ideologies.
Each religion on the earth changed, morphed, and developed alongside its worshipers. The culture of the societies in which these religions developed is deeply ingrained within the religious practices. Who is to say which practices are better. Most every religion in the world professes similar beliefs. Each has a set of moral values which its worshipers are expected to follow. Each religion has a set of practices which its followers are to perform. Each religion has a superior being that is worshiped, whether in a single or multiple incarnations. Fundamentally all religion is the same. Each seeks to govern the behavior of its followers while at the same time providing faith for its followers in the afterlife.
Because each religion serves a specific purpose within the community in which it is practiced and because each religion contains the culture and history of the community in which it was developed. Who is to say one system of belief is superior to others. Each serves a positive purpose. To each his own is what I believe. I believe there is no one religion that is better than others, all religion has value, all religion has purpose.
