There is no doubt in my mind who the better shortstop is. Jose Reyes is faster, better run production, has the second best SS arm in the league (Rafael Furcal), and is the most explosive and exciting player to watch in the MLB! Also, Reyes plays on the NL's best offense and has better number potential than Hanley Ramirez. Reyes has a mix of veteran and young talent bats hitting behind him, C Paul Lo Duca, OF Carlos Beltran, 1B Carlos Delgado, and future superstar 3B David Wright. In either case, they will drive him in and will give Reyes a chance for even better numbers than he had last year. On the Marlins, other than fellow sophomore Dan Uggla and top-tier 3B Miguel Cabrera, who will give support to Ramirez's bat? Right now Ramirez is batting 3rd in the Marlins WEAK lineup when he should clearly be batting in the lead-off spot, like Reyes, where his speed and high average would best be suited. Grantite, Ramirez is a very promising young talent, but he is not of major league superstar caliber yet and is no where near the class of Jose Reyes.
