Cool TechGadgets For Your Summer Beach Bag:
The summer is finally here and everyone is out and about with the coolest new technology toys. Don't feel uncool when someone pulls out their iPod and lays in the sun talking on their new Samsung Black Jack phone. Go get some gadgets of your own. If you don't know where to start, these ideas will surely get you started.
It seems everyone these days has one, an iPod. Apple iPods are a digital media player, capable of holding over 20,000 songs, storing your favorites downloaded TV shows, and playing games. The most compact of these popular little guys is the redesigned iPod Shuffle. At 1.62 inches long and weighing in at less than an ounce, these trendy and colorful music players hold over 240 songs (varied bit-rates of songs determines how many songs the Shuffle actually holds) and are available for a mere $80 at your local Best Buy. The best part of them is that they can easily clip on your clothes while you run, and you can listen to your tunes for up to 12 hours.
Available at former Cingular Wireless, now AT&T, the Samsung Black Jack is now afforable and a little entertainment guru on the go. Powered by Windows Mobile technology, the Black Jack packs a powerful array of Windows programs such as Windows Media Player, Mobile Office applications, and attachment capabilities. Included is a bluetooth feature so you can talk handsfree and wirelessly (hopefully people won't think you're talking to yourself!). What's unique about these wireless phones is the ability to store your favorite songs on it, and even expand your memory with a microSD card. Power texter?
No problem. The Black Jack comes built with a full QWERTY keyboard. But that's not all. Never miss a kodak moment while on the go and snap a picture with the 1.3 megapixel video recorder installed. Even though it is capable of 5.5 hours of talk-time, if you're at the beach, get off that thing and enjoy the water!
Sure we all know how much radio has changed over the past 10 years, but with the travel XM radio you can enjoy commercial-free tunes, listen to talk shows and even talk about sports teams for every game. Going to share with your kids when they're bugging you? No problem, Disney offers their own station fully loaded with tunes your children will love to sing along to. The travel companion only costs $70 and subscriptions start at $12.95 a month. Plug in your headphones, put the device in your pocket and go!
What goes good with your iPods and XM radios? A pair
