A gay or lesbian, as you call it, shouldn't mean anything when they're personal or love life is involved. The world itself has evolved, yet the only 'rules' politics has held on to are the one's of discriminatory basis. Why are we able to allow freedom of speech, but freedom of the heart comes with a price? It is a ridiculous notion that man has the right to limit a persons 'qualifications' or 'value' in life by the person they choose to share it with.
I myself am attracted to the opposite sex, I have been in a strong and meaningful relationship with a man 10 years older than myself. So as a women who has faced the frowns and has been the topic of many discussions I would like to say:
Who means the world to you shouldn't matter to anyone else. A person you believes you are living a world of lies and destruction is a person who's afraid to face their real selves.
