I have tried and tried to think of a reason why I could possibly care about poor little Paris Hilton's problems and I came to the conclusion that there is no reason. She got drunk, she drove, she got drunk again, she drove again she went to jail. All is as it should be. If it had been anyone of us invisible people, the sun would rise, people would go to work, we would go to jail and nobody would be the wiser.
There are important issues to discuss and worry about. There are people who are out there making a real contribution to the world. There are people out there who don't know where their next meal will come from. This is what matters, not some spoiled little rich girl who is famous for pretty much no reason. As soon as her looks fade, so will she.
I know that jail is not fun and she is probably scared, although you wouldn't know it by the mug shot. However, this is not a public issue. This is a private issue and all this attention is just furthering her pointless career. It is like we are applauding her for breaking the law. You know what they say, bad press is better than no press. Constantly drawing attention to this is condoning her bad behavior. If she got no press and fell out of favor, then she might actually get the point. She might actually understand that there are things you just don't do.
I suggest that the media quit pandering to these no account, do nothings and concentrate on real matters that are important in real life to real people. But alas, as long as people purchase the Enquirer, Paris will always have a job.
