There are a number of different kisses that we need to discuss.
First, "The Wall Kiss". This kiss is typically used by very young kids and cold dates and it is a non-passionate "meeting of the mouth with lips closed." It is notably identifiable as having more pressure than spit.
Our next kiss would be the "single reverse swoop". This is employed by the male on a date when he's not sure the girl wants him to kiss her or not. He moves towards her slightly to the right or left as if intently studying something and if she moves towards him he does a quick double-back for the prize. If she doesn't, he just keeps going and picks something off the ground.

Of course the "arm to kiss move" is popular. Once the male has negotiated his arm around his date (preferrably in the sitting position), all he has to do is wait to see if she lies back or not; i.e. "submits". If her back stiffens, scratch her name, she doesn't like you.
We don't need to discuss the French Kiss. That's for married folks and people who have been going together awhile ar just like "heavy making out".
I don't want to give away all my secrets so just one more. That would be "the ambush". It is one kiss you must be prepared for possible follow up violence in the form of a slap because you are "flying blind". It should be implemented when either person's emotions well over. The woman generally has nothing to fear, and while typically, if the male is feeling that way so is the woman, mistakes have been made.
Kissing is great. However the well-informed man can enhance his dating enjoyment with little fear of injury.
