Finding good employees and making them great

If you want your organization to flourish you must find good employees and make them great. To make that transition you need to observe the following:

After you find good employees always look for ways to develop them through education. An organization needs to have an in house employee development program which consists of going to seminars, listening to motivational tapes, setting goals, reading different books on inspiration, motivation and success. Look at the autobiographies of great individuals.

Employees should be given an opportunity to present ideas so that they can develop and grow. Then let them go as far as their attitudes, skills and learning takes them. Never hold good people back.

Insist that employees go and seek knowledge wherever they can get it within the organization. Let them schedule an appointment to speak with their immediate supervisor and the supervisor's supervisor about some of their success techniques. Do it in an informal session. Ask them what do they read; what are some of their success techniques and habits. Ask them if they set goals. Then get an opinion from them on you. Ask based on what you know about me what do you view as my strengths and weaknesses. What do I need to do to get the position of XYZ?

Have a vision of the organization and relay that vision and get your employees to buy into it.

Ask your employees for their ideas and suggestions on making the organization great.

All these things in turn will make you have great employees.
