At the End
Another day, another name
The sun begins to set and I think
to the sound of the waves crashing down
it has to be an illusion, I blink
and my eyes glisten as you meet me
Yes, it has all been worthwhile
I breathe in the salty air through my lips
I look in your eyes and lean for a kiss
I hum a song next to your ear
a song to remember what brought us here
The sand is so cool as we lay beneath the stars
pointing out constellations and loving to love
and it is now I am thankful for all that you are
you're the only one I know for sure when the day is done.
