Choosing a groomsmen's gift is a difficult task. I think it's the whole men and shopping thing. Anyway, here are a few ideas:

1.) Make it something personal. Purchase something separate for each groomsmen based on what they like. Maybe tickets to their favorite sporting event, a jersey from their favorite team, or a premium bottle of their favorite liquor. He's your groomsman, you should know what he likes.

2.) Cufflinks. Yes, they're boring, but they are practical for the wedding day. Have them engraved with the groomsmen's initials. You could even get them in the shape of a golfball, or the groom's favorite hobby.

3.) Flask. Again, not to exciting, but very useful. Especially on the wedding day. Engraving works well here, also.

4.) Swiss Army Knife. These are neat. However, if your groomsmen are from out of town and packed carry-on only, this could be problem. Airport security will snatch these away.

5.) Pocketwatch. I'm not sure who still uses these, but they look nice.
