It's very frustrating to self diagnosis Starting problems with fuel Injected vehicles, If you have never previously owned a fuel injected vehicle then you probably wouldn't know how to do these diagnostic procedures. But if you own one and are diagnosing it yourself physically then follow these procedures step by step
Where should you start?
You may have tried reading the manual ten times or tried to get advise from a friend. Maybe your not in a position to pay the high prices that some Auto Repair Shops charge to fix your car. If you are now having problems with starting your fuel injected vehicle then and you have to troubleshoot step by step on your own, This Information could really be useful and save you a lot of money in the long run. If you have access to a diagnostic scanner, You can plug it in under the steering column, crank the Engine, and the scanner will tell you the trouble codes, Some scanners will tell you more Information. you'll need to have a repair manual on the make, model of your vehicle, you can look up the trouble codes in the manual. If the vehicle wont turn over. You should check the battery to make sure it is keeping a charge, (has enough cranking amps). If the battery is not holding a charge of about 12 volts, Then replace your battery. If this doesn't solve your problem then continue with the diagnostic tester, their are three main electrical points that the tester will check that are involved with the electrical starting System. The code will appear on the scanner when the test is complete.
Note: The starter would be considered a mechanical issue and as long as it was properly installed this shouldn't be the problem. usually with fuel injected vehicles its an electrical problem. If you don't have access to a Diagnostic scanner then continue below for more help.

The The First thing To check would be fuses, There are a few main fuses associated with the fuel wire Harness connection. They are located on the passenger side in back of the glove Compartment box. Most of the time when you are troubleshooting a car with fuel Injection then it is more likely be an electrical problem, Not a mechanical problem. There are usually three main points to check.
1)The fuel tank wire fuses
2)crank positioning sensor or spark sensor
3)ECM (Ignition, Electronic control module)
