Benefits of de-toxing for fitness and health

Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse. This is one of the most important ways to affect your health and longevity. All around us people are dying and becoming incapacitated by illnesses that are brought on by poor health and toxic bodies.

What is cleansing? Every metabolic process releases waste. We know what the waste of the digestive system is. All other body systems also release waste. The reproductive system, the respiratory system, the endocrine system, the circulatory system, the skeletal/muscular system all perform various tasks and as a result release some sort of toxin that must exit the body in order for optimum health.

If we eat and drink pure food and breathe clean air, we do not need special cleansing kits and detox diets to keep us healthy and young. The problem is that we don't eat the way we should, nor is our environment clean.

There are many herbs that are available for cleansing the organs of toxins so they can function better, but some very simple things that everyone can do are as follows.

Drink as much water as you can. this simple formula tells you how much you need. Take your weight in lbs divide by 2. This number is the amount of ounces you need in a day. If you weigh 200lbs then you need 100 ounces a day. That's about 12, 8 ounce classes a day. The 6 to 8 glasses we generally hear about is only sufficient for a person of 130lbs or less.

Here are some other quick tips:

Add Lemon to Your Water First Thing in the Morning- It cleans your liver. If you are really daring add ginger, cayenne and grade B maple syrup. It revs your metabolism and activates your digestive enzymes

Exercise- This releases toxics through sweating and breathing. 60 minutes a day is best.

Breathe- Oxygen is the most important nutrient your body needs

Sleep- Rest and Repair is what the body needs

Psyllium Husk- Creates bulk in your colon, clearing out the waste and helps to absorb excess fat, moving it all out of the body

Bitter Herbs- Are cleansing herbs, drink them, check your local health food store for what you need

Fruits and Vegetables- Eat them! Make meals out of them. Have 2 or more fruits for breakfast. Have a large plate of salad or cooked vegetables for lunch or dinner. You will be surprised at how filling they are. Also they take so long to eat that you won't want anything after that!

Add Olive Oil, Lemon and Salt to Your Vegetables- It's all the dressing you need

Salad Can Be Anything- It's more than lettuce. You can have a plate of shredded cabbage and carrots, or cucumbers and tomatoes. Whatever you have, chop up and eat it

Juice Your Veggies- The nutrients enter the system quickly. You will be amazed at the difference you will feel in just a few days
