Other then exploiting the ways to get free food, or by actually eating there and playing the games such as Burger Kings current "everyone wins something" Spider Man promotion, the next best way is dollar menus.
Today almost every single fast food resturaunt has dollar menu where you can get the most popular sold items on it. With the cost of every combo meal on the rise, you can order 4 to 5 items from the dollar menu and get more food then actually ordering a combo meal. Arby's has their current promotion of 5 for 5.95, where you can get a series of anything on the pre-selected 5.95 menu, and you can switch them up and only pay $5.95. Burger King has Jr. Whoppers, Double Cheese Burgers, and small fries amoung the many menu items you can get for a buck.
With regular combo meals going into the 5-6 dollars and over just for the meal itself, it's easy to see that the dollar menu is a great choice for those trying to save money at the fast food resturaunts.
