If you are looking to make a fair amount of money writing at Helium, then there are a number of areas that would be of interest to you, the first would be Helium's upfront payment system, the next Helium's Marketplace, and of course there is also the Contest section at Helium to visit on a regular basis. On top of these earning opportunities Helium also pays out a share of their ad revenue, and these payments are based on how high your article ranks, and under which category and article title it appears. Helium provides the payments, you just need to write, write as well as you can, and as often as you can.

Helium's upfront payment system offers writers an opportunity to earn extra income for each new article that they write at Helium. Any article that you add to a category with five or less articles within it is eligible for this bonus. However to be eligible for these payments you must have at least one writing star.

Payments for Helium's upfront payments are currently set at:

One writing star pays 50 cents for each new article

Two writing stars pays $1.00 for each new article

Three writing stars pays $1.50 for each new article

Four writing stars pays $2.00 for each new article

Five writings stars pays 2.50 for each new article

Writing even ten articles a month at Helium can really add up to a little spare pocket change, and if you can write one or more articles per day, you can acquire quite a nice little paycheck from Helium each month. But this is not the only way to earn at Helium.

Be sure to check into Helium's Marketplace on a regular basis. This is the spot at Helium where publishers list titles that they are looking to publish articles on. The earnings can range anywhere from $16.00 to $200.00 per article so not a bad piece of change to pop into your pocket for doing something that you love to do anyway.

The contest section at Helium actually sets out a tremendous amount of monies for it's resident writers to vie over. Prizes vary with each contest. Be forewarned that in most contests it is not only quality of work that matters but often it is also the amount of writing that you can input over a short period of time. Be prepared to focus a lot of your time and energies into participating in the contest once you have made up your mind to compete for one of the many cash prizes offered each time.
