You know you are too wrapped up in your sports team when you can remember the number of rounds it took for a player to be drafted fifteen years ago but can't remember the number of years you've been married.

You know you are too wrapped up in your sports team when you know every player who ever played for the team AND you know what other teams they played for. You even know their batting averages and pitching statistics on all the teams they've ever played for. And, with all of this player knowledge, you can't remember the names of any of your spouses brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts or uncles, let alone any numbers related to them like birthdays, anniversaries, number of children they have, etc.

You know you are too wrapped up in your sports team when every room in your house has at least one item with your team's logo on it. From the Chicago Cubs coasters in your living room to the Chicago Cubs hand towels to the Chicago Cubs magnets on the fridge to the Chicago Cubs bed sheets on your bed to the Harry Carey bobble-head on your fireplace mantle, yes, your home looks like a catalog of Chicago Cubs merchandise.

You know you are too wrapped up in your sports team when you can talk, with intelligence, about the intricacies of the newest "potential" trade deal and the pros and cons of what it is going to do for your team and the team the player may be traded to. But, you have no idea what soap to use when doing the laundry or how to load a dishwasher.
