Poetry: Feeling lost

..Lost on Hallowed Ground..
A bottle of Jack and a packet of smokes, then leaves the pub to find his way home.

Down the hill to the cliffs edge
to find his spot to sit and vege,
walks by the water and see lovers embrace,
then turn to the ocean then imagine he see his face.

Crack open the bottle throw away the lid,
smiled at the pool where the boy once hid,
staggered the beach, and over the road,
to a place that was said, his final Ode.

A stainless surf board upon empty grave,
wishing his life he could have saved.
"Ride that wave be forever free"
the engraving there for all to see.

Its midnight, got the place all alone,
Jacks inside, outside chilled to the bone.
Cry,shout and scream out loud,
why the boys soul raise above the cloud.
He sit in the place now reserved for he,
it's in his name for no body there be.
Laugh out loud about the pranks you once play,
crying again, its not here that you lay.

A drunken mess in the morning found,
the wife still in her dressing gown.
Worrying not when he can't be found,
she'll find him here....on this hallowed ground.
