*Arroz con gandules*
Classic, Green Pigeon Peas With Rice
Ingredients:
1 can green pigeon peas (gandules)
1 cup pork meat, cut in dices.
1 packet of sazon (hispanic seasoning)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup of chicken broth
2 spoonfull virgin olive oil
1/2 cup tomatoe sauce
3 cups of water
2 cups of rice
In a large pot at medium heat,add the porkmeat,salt and sazon(seasoning)and
olive oil Make sure the pork is fully cooked.Add a cup of chicken broth,cilantro,tomatoe sauce,green pigeon peas,onions,and water with the pork until a boil after that make sure to add the rice.Reduce the heat,cover and simmer for 20 to 30 min.until the rice is tender.
