There is way to many discounts for military families already, why give them one more. We live in a military area and they get discounts on everything they do. They can buy a house, get cheaper rent or groceries, even void credit and reference checks in some cases. Just because they are military does not put them high on a pedestal. Now, do not get me wrong, I thank God for the men and women who risk their lives to keep us as free as we are, and I feel bad for those who loose their lives at war. But why in the world does their children get cheaper college rates, when I see every day on the streets a man or woman that was a veteran homeless. We can not even help those who fought years ago, this should be our focus. Military families children will get some discounts for college just like all other children through grants and loans. Grants and loans are the way every American should have to pay. Giving military children discounts would be unfair to those who are a different race and can not get that discount.
