It is nearing Christmas and a lot of items around the house can be used for Christmas decoration. One of these familiar items is the wine bottle.

CANDLE HOLDERS
Materials: green wine bottles of different heights/shapes
glue gun
glitter green glue stick
narrow ribbons with tinsel or metallic inserts
candles with almost the same diameter as the wine bottle mouth, and about
6 or 8 inches in height
Procedure:
1. Create a bow with the ribbon & tie it around the green bottle neck, securing it in place with a dab of the glitter green glue stick.
2. Whittle the candle, starting from the bottom to at least 2 inches of the candle, so that it fits snugly into the mouth of the bottle.
3. Secure the candle in place by having a bit of the glue at a point at least 3/4 of the way from the bottom of the whittled portion.
4. Stick it into the wine bottle.

Additional effects:
- fill the bottle 1/4 of the way up with small metallic Christmas balls. Or nut shells. Or metallic confetti (cut from metal paper or foil).
- embellish the label with bits of glitter or sequins.
