I use to always quip "love makes the heart sing, mine just hums" as a one liner for someone like Rodney Dangerfield could use. But in thinking it out, even just a hum can turn into something beautiful that should be shared with as many who would listen.
Since I was a child, I would retain the melody from music that truly moved me, and in doing so all I had to do would be to imagine the melody and like magic, it brings out the feelings long forgotten.
However, along with music I would hear, I would also hear "counter" music in that I was able to hear something new and better using the music I heard as a base to start from.
This was the music that through time would be responsible for my creating truly original songs as my knowledge of what it is about music that moves me.
I don't have a song out there, but I did however have a small following for my music I've created, and am tempted to present it in some way so as to be able to offer it to thousands. In this way, I can feel I've contributed in providing the beautiful feeling one gets when a piece of music moves one so much that it's a natural high that can't even be had with drugs.
I think the worse thing is to have something to share and never get to do so. We all want some kind of recognition for what we can do, and the only way to get it is to put it out there. Imagine being the last person on Earth and there is no one to hear the most fantastic song you have ever come up with.
But then again, if we can be happy knowing that we were blessed with hearing a melody in our heart all of our very own, then aren't we just as important in reaping the joy out of our music as that of thousands of others? After all, no matter how many there are that would love what we hear in our heart, we should feel privileged to have had the experience of something that can make our hearts sing even if we were to die without no one else hearing it.
