There are different hosts that give your own space to write up whatever you wish. Some just tag onto your user profile in MSN, so people who add you to their MSN list can learn a bit more about you. Blogger.com, livejournal and ''myspace'' offer a different service. These are free and you can write up any of your thoughts and those who share similar interests to you can add you to their list of friends and you can get to know more people.

If you are particularly opinionated about a certain topic, like politics, then you may want to start a blog with your views on current worldwide events. Those of a similar or different nature to you can leave comments and it can even start up a debate.

There are quite a few blogs that are just there to be humourous and these are the more successful ones. They are usually dramatised and witty accounts of everyday life.

A lot of people make blogs, tell their friends and get people who share similar to read the blog and then put google adsense on there and you can get a bit of an income coming in if it happens to be popular. (blogger.com provides full information for it's users on how to do this)

If you're willing to regularly update it and keep it lively and unique to you then could find yourself making a profit from it!
