Yes. Sometimes its good to be different. America stands for the ability to share your different ideas through free speech and free expression but sometimes you have to realize that being different and going against the grain, can cause you to get stuck. America is stuck in Iraq. The war on terrorism has turned into a war to prevent a war between a nation that is so deeply divided they would unite only to kill Americans. I am in no way saying that we should not protect ourselves from terrorists, but rather then bring the fight to them, where ever they might be, why not wait for them to come to us. Instead of building walls and manning security check points all across Iraq, do those same tasks on our border with Mexico where we know we have a problem. I mean the idea that a terrorist can attack us from 3000 miles away in some foreign land doesn't really scare me too much. Instead the threat that I could be walking around downtown when suddenly, heaven forbid, a plane hit's a building. This is a much bigger threat to me then some terrorist plotting something in a mountain cave in Iraq or Afghanistan. The idea that we can find and kill every single terrorist in their home country is ludicrous. These terror cells are 20-30 people large in a country of millions. Also the idea that we are some how stopping terrorist from entering the United States simply by invading countries is also ridiculous. The only way to stop terrorist from entering the United States is to do just that and solidify our borders and protect ourselves here at home. The war on terrorism needs to be continued but as the clich goes the best offense is a great defense. Bring the fight home and protect our homes.
