No Way, No How, Not at all. It's just a phone and a phone is a phone. Steve Jobs and Apple Inc, think the iPhone will be the hottest mobile device ever produced. But who needs a smart phone that is easy to use? Who needs an internet device that uses a full fledged browser like Safari to browse the web? Google maps, come on how useful could that be? And why would you want to sync your phone with iTunes when downloading music, video and podcasts, when you could just enjoy all the wonderful and easy to use capabilities of Windows Media Player? Virtual voice mail? Forget about it. Why would I want to pick and choose which messages and in what order they are in when I check my voice mail? I am perfectly content with wading through every message to get to that special someone I was hoping would call. The call merging feature I've gotten along without that for years. A 3.5 inch screen, what for? The smart touch keyboard that only comes up when I need it. Hey, I like to be the one calling the shots. Using my fingers to scroll through songs and album covers, what the heck will I do with all of those extra stylus I have. Who needs a phone with a proximity sensor that can turn off to save battery time and prevent me from pushing buttons as I put it up to my ear. Or an ambient light sensor that adjusts automatically. And the accelerometer is no big deal, even my pocket pc phone adjusts from portrait to landscape automatically. Sort of. Obviously the iPhone is a lot of hype and I'm honored to be the first writer on the no side of this debate.
