I searched for freedom
and found more chains.
I searched for happiness
and found more sadness.
I searched for love
and found more pain.
So I sit in the silence of the night, alone-
I hear a voice call to me and say,
"I have the answers.
I have the key to unlock the chains.
Just listen to me, and I'll free your pain.
I will hold you up. I will get you through.
Listen to me, I'll tell you what to do."
I said, "Who are you? I don't know you."
It said, "I know how to love you.
Just get to know me and you will see."
I asked it again, "Who are you?"
Then I said, "It's me!"
