BANANA SPLIT PIE
This is a cool treat your family will love!
1 12-ounce box vanilla wafers, crushed
3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
5 bananas, sliced
1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
1 13-ounce carton whipped topping, thawed
1 cup chopped nuts
Combine crushed vanilla wafers and 3/4 cup melted butter. Mix well and press into sides and bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Combine powdered sugar, softened butter and eggs. Beat on high speed of electric mixer for 15 minutes. Do not underbeat. Spread mixture on top of crust and top with bananas then cover with drained pineapple. Spread whipped topping over fruit and sprinkle with nuts. Garnish with maraschino cherry halves, if desired.
