Whirlwind Dreamer
The Whirlwind Dreamer is as confused and
helpless as a deer caught in a swarm
of hornets protecting their nest
from unsuspecting intruders.
The Whirlwind Dreamer is hopelessly in love
with a man, who is inspired only by her
written words, and her soft spoken voice
filled with emotion and love, just for him.
The Whirlwind Dreamer is taunted by
her own sullen attempts of self-worth and
her reasoning as to why she stays in this
circle of definite self-destruction.
Yet, The Whirlwind Dreamers heart
beats strong with hopes of fending off
the chaos and self-doubt that process
her like the rivers flow free.
Than out of the shallow-breath of loneliness,
the Whirlwind Dreamer sees a lone monarch butterfly
float across a mirrored lake. With every flutter and
the reflection of duel beauty, she is given faith.
To just walk away.

MY PROMISE
Last night I dreamed that I was dead
I dreamed that it was over
There was no torment in my heart
No sorrow lingered
Prescription drugs on tap,
More addictive than crack
Drugs flowing freely into the minds of people whose thought processes

You know that hangdog feeling
When life's kicked you in the crutch,
When the world seems ranged against you
And to breathe
by CanCan
There you are in the mirror again
Looking for hope and even a friend
The blemishes you find that no one else sees
You cry in
A shadow flees through the night
Swift and stealthy
A demon
with glowing red eyes
She stops
in front of a bistro
Moves in,
closing
