Does the US Patriot Act undermine Americans' freedoms? The answer to this question is absolutely it does. Not only are some American freedoms reduced for this country's citizens, some of them have completely been erased. Additionally, it seems what is worse, most Americans do not seem to care.

Yet, to make things even less tolerable now new Immigration Laws are reducing American citizens to the same treatment as illegal alien status. Perhaps many are reluctant to speak out against our government because this country is at war, or further fear investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a terrorist if the complaint becomes too loud. But, if we do not speak up now it will be too late to reverse the cycle. And, it might already be just that -too late.

Initially, the Patriot Act was suggested to make it easier to investigate terrorists, however, I do recall the same White House administration stating Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. It seems neither of these are true. As an end result, it seems our American President did an end run around the United States Constitution in order to drive up oil prices.

While these suggestions may seem a bit simplified. In fact the statements are essentially true. There is one thing which is unexplainable, however. Why did a Texan want to prohibit Texas Hold'em Poker? That question is to my knowledge unanswered. Or, perhaps the lack of reason in regards to Americans playing online poker and enjoying casino gambling may be exacting proof that the US Patriot Act undermines Americans' freedoms.
