Pay per click opportunities on the Internet

Adsense, Bidvertiser And Other PPC Programs A critique

All Pay Per Click programs serve ads on websites. Owners of websites enroll in these programs for showing revenue generating text and images. Of late, Google has also started showing video advertisements on websites. Revenue so generated either by PPC or per thousand impressions is shared between Google and website owners.

Many people are reported to have been told by Google that they can run Adsense ads and Bidvertiser ads on the same website pages. What Google forbids is showing of contextual ads which copy or mimic Google ads.

Unlike Google Adsense, under Bidvertiser, one has the facility of choosing advertisements. One can choose the highest paying ads which are made known by Bidvertiser.

Many website owners have been experimenting alternatively with Adsense and Bidvertiser in order to see the impact on their revenue. Though some have reported good results with Bidvertiser ads, but mostly they have not been better than Adsense.

One major problem relates to out of context ads being shown by Bidvertiser. Thus while a website has some particular subject, Bidvertiser ads relate to something else.

The above is not the case with Adsense. It has a rich repository of ads and it always shows contextual ads on a website.

One attractive feature of Bidvertiser relates to its payout amount which is just $10 as compared to $100 in case of Adsense. The other major benefit of Bidvertiser is the control that one can have over showing of ads on a website.

Essentially Bidvertiser ads look very similar to Google Adsense ads. That is why there is always a doubt lurking in the minds of people whether they can show both types of ads together.

Though Google is reported to have clarified that both types of ads can be shown on the same page, some webmasters do not take any chances. However, it is alright if they are shown separately on different pages of the same website.

Despite Bidvertiser being smaller in comparison to Adsense, it has potential to move forward in future, given some of its unique features.. This can be an effective alternative to Google Adsense, especially if one runs into any trouble with Google. One should keep this and other alternatives in case one cannot use Adsense due to any reason.

Apart from Bidvertiser, there are some other pay per click programs like adbrite.com and clicksor.com. These also provide complete control on ads, ability to sell ads directly to users and to customize ads look and feel. Clicksor is all about contextual advertising. Google policy is not to allow any such advertising on the same page, Adsense ads are being shown.

Basically most of the programs other than Google Adsense allow customization of ads to match a site, discretion to approve or reject ads and most important, no objection to work alongside with other programs. However, payout is reported to be not that impressive as in case of Adsense.
