on Summers. Since her hair will turn the color of expensive, soft white or grey pearls, it is best left alone. All Summers really need are the hues Mother Nature provided for her.

Summer eyes will be mostly in the grey blue range, with some green, hazel or muted aqua. Usually, there is a bluish grey rim around the outer edges of the eye with soft white flecks in the middle. Less often, you will find a Summer with soft rosy brown eyes. My own coloring reflects this. Both my grandfathers were Celtic and both my grandmothers were full-blooded American Indians, so I got the Celtic blonde hair and brown, Indian eyes.

Summer's white is a soft eggshell, magnolia, or creamy gardenia. She is elegant in soft, pearl grey, any blue grey, or greyed navy. All denim, being grey-blue, belongs to Summer and she is the only one who can wear it successfully near her face.

Her neutrals also include rose beige, cocoa and rosy brown, muted burgundy and watermelon red. She glows in all the sherbet colors of mint, banana yellow and raspberry, while dusty rose, mauve, and cotton candy pink are sure winners.

Sky blue, light true blue, powder blue and French cadet blue will always highlight and bring out her soft baby blue eyes. Drape her in plum, dusty plum, grape or fuchsia grape. Add some lilac, lavender, or pastel periwinkle and you'll have a real, live, walking rose garden to tantalize you.

Summers need silvery white jewelry to make her skin come alive. Gold will disappear on her and muddy her complexion. White gold and rose gold can also be pleasing. Rose shaded pearls or grey ones belong to Summer along with amethyst, and blue or pink topaz is perfect.

Summer relates to the S' curve in nature - those represented by twining vines in the garden. The Art Nouveau period in history revolved around the S' curve. Summers are great in all flowered prints, scaled to her size and stature, but keep them soft and muted. Some jewel-toned' Summers with darker coloring may be better in clear, bright prints.

For Summer celebrities, think of Candice Bergen, Reese Witherspoon, Kim Bassinger and for the quintessential Summer, no one can surpass the late, unsurpassed, Princess Diana. For male Summer examples, think of world news anchor, Tom Brokaw, and Richard Dreyfuss.

The Autumn Woman

In Autumn, nature turns flamboyant with gold, orange, bronze, ginger and bittersweet reds. The trees become living flames of color, like the fires we light on chilly evenings. Fall women are just as stunning. Their skin
