Build a working wardrobe that coordinates outfits effortlessly?
All of these are possible using the magic of color contained in the seasonal palette approach, and building a working wardrobe that highlights your own natural beauty. Being a professional, Personal Colors Consultant and Wardrobe Designer, I see these results every day and have the joy of experiencing them in my own life.
From where did this system originate? It was discovered and noted by Johannes Itten of Germany. He was an artist who taught at the Bauhaus School. After many years, he noticed that his students' choices of color were complimentary to their own skin tones, hair color and eyes. Later, Itten realized that these groupings of colors corresponded to the four seasonal palettes we see in Nature.
Itten's work allows us to see that, as the human species on our planet, we were not thrown helter-skelter onto the Earth. Like all her other species, Mother Nature has provided a place for us in the universal scheme of things. This is proven by the fact that we will each look and feel our best by wearing one of Nature's palettes. This is because Nature also created within us, a harmonious blend of our skin tone, hair, and eyes, which correspond to one of her seasons.
The Spring Woman
Think of the colors Mother Nature uses to paint in the Spring. They are bright and clear, like the new yellowish-green grass and unfurling buds on the trees. Daffodils and crocuses are springing up in shades of sunlight yellow, violets and periwinkle blues. The sky above is aqua, with peachy-apricot tones in the clouds. Having been cleansed by frequent rainfall, colors remain bright and clear, running from a light, to medium dark shades.
The Spring woman has golden undertones to her skin. She usually tans easily and many are our, "beach bunnies." Their skin can range from ivory to peachy-pink to medium beige and many may even be freckled. Peaches and Cream' complexions belong only to Springs. Often of Scandinavian or northern European descent, a Spring's hair tends to be flaxen, wheat, or strawberry blonde. Some are even carrot tops. Those with medium to very dark brown hair will always naturally have golden highlights.
A Spring's eyes will be extremely clear and bright. They have the quality of sparkling faceted
