If you're a no-fuss kind of gal, hitting the clearance racks at the local mall or even the classifieds for a good, gently used find could prove fruitful. Make sure you have a tailor in mind for final alterations, and a good dry-cleaner!
So what's left? The honeymoon, of course! Splurge! Start your new life out with a well-planned mini-vacation. Put your heads together and come up with a destination you can both get excited about, and go from there. Cruises are becoming so much more affordable now, and finding all-inclusive resorts and getaway packages is so simple with a good internet connection. Skip buying a whole new vacation wardrobe, sink your dollars into the experiences you want to have. Do something life-changing, something you will never forget. Make sure you bring along a good digital camera and camcorder to capture your special moments! Plan a good-sized food/entertainment budget, and enjoy every minute of it together! You only get one honeymoon, so make it count!
Lastly, don't freak out when something goes wrong. Put a little money back for incidentals and acts of God which might pop up at the last minute. No one has ever had a completely flawless wedding, something always manages to go wrong. Don't strive for perfection, strive for happiness. Plan as best as you can, and don't forget that it is supposed to be fun - you should enjoy this moment, and no one else will care if the flowers showed up late or if your maid of honor is having a bad hair day! So much focus is put on the details, that we forget that the memories are all that will last!
