To all my fellow desktop owners/users, here is why I think laptops take the home run.
I am not in any way putting down the desktop first and foremost because I know all to well how good some of them can perform. They are loyal when need be. I believe that certain aspects of laptops are more appealing.
Take for example the fact that laptops nowadays are equipped with a good amount of power with the duo centrino (just to name an example). This makes them efficient when you need to run many programs all at once and you wish to...simply not wait for the next season to pass before your page can load.
There's the obvious practicality of a laptop being accessible whether you're on a train, in a car, or around your house. You don't necessarily have to bring the power bar and everything attached to it while you go around the house. Convenient !
With todays technology, not only can you move around but our laptops have the capacity to have wireless cards which enables you to be connected anywhere in the house without being literally connected to your wall or phone. In some cases, you can even go passed your front door and sit on your lawn and enjoy a good one while surfing the net.
On top of that, the laptop offers a great deal of space since it is very compact, take the apple for example. It is not only smaller than most normal laptops but it is very lightweight. And speaking of apple (I have a PC myself) so their are no preferences here regarding which is better, but I have to admit, Apple laptops are good when it comes to being virus free.
You can pretty much manipulate your computer around and fit yourself into a nice and cozy chair all the while chatting with your friends. Try doing that with your Desktop !
