Honesty is the only policy. When everything is said and done, the only thing an individual has. . . is his word. I teach my four sons that being a man of your word is more valuable than gold. If time and time again you say what you mean and do what you promise, then, people will respect, honor, and value you as a man of integrity. Everything a person does boils down to his honesty. The type of employer/employee, husband, father, friend, and neighbor are all connected to his following the 9th commandment. (This of course, applies to women too.)
God himself gives us His word, the Bible, and the promises in that book are guaranteed. A great example to follow. My favorite saying, "Nothing but the truth comes out of your mouth."
As writers, we would do well to revise it to say, "Nothing but the truth comes from your finger-tips."
