2007 NFL draft predictions

my prediction will come true. Marv Levy was better as a coach than as an executive. By losing what little they had in Nate Clements, London Fletcher, and Willis McGahee, the Bills have placed themselves in prime position to contend for the Number 1 draft pick next April. Unfortunately that is all that they will be contending for. Why? Well there is three reasons: 1) J.P. Losman sucks, 2) Dick Jauron sucks, and last but certainly not least 3) the Bills' front office sucks.

I predict that the Patriots will win this division, the Jets will finish second, the Dolphins third, and the Bills a distant fourth.

The second division I want to talk about is the AFC North. This division consists of the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is dog-eat-dog division in that the rivalries are so intense. The AFC North has emerged as one of the strongest divisions in pro football with the emergence of the Cincinnati Bengals as a playoff contender and the Cleveland Browns as a semi-contender over the last couple of years. Still this is an aging division that does not seem to be getting younger anytime soon (as in next season).

The Baltimore Ravens somewhat lived up to expectations last year by finishing the regular season with a 13-3 record but fell short by losing their first playoff game to the eventual Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts, a wild-card team. The Ravens are a solid team. They have some problems in that they are an aging team on defense and at quarterback. I think their offense got some a good injection of youth with the addition of Willis McGahee at running back. I expect the Ravens win between 9 to 12 games this season and lose their first playoff game.

The Cincinnati Bengals have the talent to compete but not the character. Coach Marvin Lewis has done a great job instilling in his players that they can win but I don't think he has instilled enough character in this team. Many of my critics will say that is not the coach's job to instill character in a group of grown men. I believe it is the coach's job not only to win but to left the profile of the team. When several of your players are arrested for various crimes then the profile of the team has fallen and it is not just about winning anymore. I predict that the Bengals will finish with 9 wins or less, miss the playoffs, Chad Johnson will become frustrated with the situation in Cincinnati and possibly want out, and Marvin Lewis will be put on the
