Think you have to spend money to get rid of that funky smell in your sink? Well, put your wallet away, sit down and read this because you'll want to hear what I have to say.
If you have an orange, lemon, or lime peel lying around you don't need. grind this up in the disposal regularly. Get out of the habit of tossing them into the trash.
The next time you have box of baking soda in the fridge or freezer past expiration, dump it down your disposal.
Leave cold water running for a few seconds after turning off your disposal, this clears any remaining debris that may not have washed down when you cycled it.
Soak your sink in bleach and then let it run down the disposer afterward.
These are just a few simple and inexpensive ways to keep your disposal fresh, tidy, clean and oh so easy on the nose!
You do not need to buy special cleaners or fresheners after all, and chances are these will work much better for you and "dispose" of unwanted materials at the same time.
