There are hundreds of statistics you can look up that will tell you going to college is worth it, in terms of higher incomes and more opportunities that avail themselves to you. Once you have a degree it shows you have perseverance and discipline and have the ability to stick with something until it is completed.

However a college degree is no guarantee of success. You have to make the most of the opportunities you are given. Life is an ongoing learning experience, therefore after college you must continue to read, go to seminars, take continuing education classes and learn from mentors and coaches and those that have gone on to do the things you are aspiring to do.

Going to college merely sets the foundation and paves the way for doing the things in the previous paragraph on an ongoing basis. College helps you to establish the good habits in life and then use them to your advantage to achieve success.

You will meet a number of friends and acquaintances along your college journey keep in contact. Also college is a great place to meet your future spouse. It's an opportunity to meet those that have similar interests and likes and aspirations. It's a chance to establish common bonds.

College also represents an opportunity, upon graduation, to give back to the school as an alumni and be a help to others.
